PMCP

Programmable Microcomputer Control Panel (PMCP)

 

The Programmable Microcomputer Control Panel (PMCP) controls solenoid operated Automatic Transfer Switches and breaker pair transfer schemes. The PMCP is ideal for new and custom designs, field modifications, upgrades, retrofits, Switchgear applications,  a MAIN-TIE-MAIN control scheme, and ATS Networking. With so many built-in standard features and available accessories, the PMCP can easily be tailored to meet your application requirements and provide an overall cost savings by eliminating the need for external monitors/transducers, reducing  labor, and minimizing engineering time.

No other controller on the market can match the performance, versatility and simplicity of the PMCP.

 

PMCP Standard Features:

  • Low Voltage (accepts 120 - 600 v directly) and Medium Voltage (2K - 15KV) applications
  • True RMS 3-Phase voltage sensing on Utility and Emergency sources
  • Operate Breaker Pair Transfer Switch and solenoid operated Automatic Transfer Switches (old & new)
  • Main–Tie–Main control scheme, with Open or Closed Transition transfer requires the PMCP and Breaker Add-On Panel. Test feature provided to simulate Source 1 and Source 2 failure for system testing. Refer to Main Tie Main Transfer Scheme below.
  • Programmable transfer schemes:

·        Standard Open

·        Closed Transition with recovery, alarms, and lockout feature

·        Soft Load with control inputs

·        Delayed Transition with programmable center off delay

·        Load Add/Shed (Load Dump)

·        Load Disconnect: disconnect load before transfer and re-connect after transfer (delay is    programmable).

 

  • Over & Under voltage and frequency detection on Utility and Emergency: functions 81, 59, 47, & 27.
  • Programmable transfer time delays, Engine Cool Down and momentary outage delays on both sources
  • Programmable Transfer Switch time: 50 ms – 600 ms
  • Full Engine Exerciser
  • An In-Phase sensor: function 25.
  • Phase Rotation detection on Utility and Emergency
  • Transfer History Logging and Event Recording:  records the last 99 transfer events
  • A RS232 Port for interfacing to Display Panel and Laptop (w/ETC software) for programming/accessing PMCP settings/features: 
  • A 26-position Terminal Block for easy access of features/accessories
  • Replaces PLCs and other ATS Controllers/Control Panels. The PMCP is a direct replacement for ASCO’s Control Panels
  • Engineering support for customized designs and transfer schemes is available

    New Feature!

  • KW Load Shed: The PMCP shall activate an output whenever the total KW of the load exceeds a pre-determined setpoint for more than 2 seconds (the Power Option PCB is required for this feature).
